Jointly with the shop fitting team at Schweitzer Project and the architects from Interstore, Oktalite equipped a supermarket in Mons covering an area of more than 11,000 square metres. What emerged was a hypermarket of the future: more than 140 display screens directly involve the customers by providing them with, for example, recipes or background information on the products they reach out for. In that way shopping becomes an interactive experience with additional benefits.
All of the areas ranging from fruit and vegetables, via a brewery, a sushi bar, a chocolate shop as far as textiles, electronics or books were individually illuminated. At the same time, for every product group the matching light colours and lumen packages were selected. Moreover, completely comprising LEDs, the lighting with 11.75 W/m². meets all of the demands made on energy-efficient lighting.
