The Poli supermarket as part of a pilot project was 100% equipped with LED technology. The E-LINE continuous line with LED was installed for general lighting, and various products such as CARDAN VARIO COMPACT LED and the new surface-mounted spotlight XANDROS SPOT LED were fitted for accent lighting, taken from the LED luminaire spectrum from oktalite. Thanks to various light colours combined with interchangeable reflector technology, foodstuffs and various assortments could be appealingly set in scene with LED. Because of the high 50,000 hour service life, this innovative technology means a low level of maintenance. Supermercati Poli was one of the first markets in Italy that depended completely in LED, thus ensuring for itself a genuine competitive advantage.
